Favaloro Law was able to successfully negotiate a resolution with a large retailer on behalf of a client who was harmed during a mass shooting that took place in Chesapeake VA on November 22, 2022.  For context, our client was narrowly missed by a bullet the night of the horrific shooting that left six employees dead.

“I looked up and my manager turned around and he just opened fire on everybody in the break room and it is by the grace of God that a bullet missed me,” our client told reporters shortly after the shooting.

In the lawsuit filed by Favaloro Law, our client detailed the traumatic events from the shooting. They explained that the shooter pointed a gun at our client’s head in the employee break room and pulled the trigger, just missing our client. When they ran to escape, the shooter pursued them into the retail section.

Substantial Resolution Reached for Client

Mark Favaloro worked diligently on this case and was able to reach an amicable resolution with a large retailer. Favaloro advised members of the media that “the plaintiff has resolved to her satisfaction all claims in the case.”

The retailer acknowledged that they were “pleased to reach resolution [with our client].” We were as well. By written agreement, the details of that resolution are confidential.
